alternator help

for a week or 2 the batt,t belt,a/t light have been on at low idle,
above 1000 revs they go out, then the other day it wouldnt start soi fitted a new battery,,it was still doing it so i charged the battery tonight and started the surf,, now the warning lights are not coming on at all,, do you think its time for a new alternator

only if the alternator belts are not loose ?
you have checked the alternator belts ?

what battery voltage are you getting with the engine running?

belts are tight and i can see both wheels turning,, getting only 12.8v at battery when engine running,, its a 95 3l td by the way

What idle speed are you checking the voltage at?
Make sure that you don't have any electrical gubbins on when doing the voltage check.
