Yep, I'm with Tony, I think you have a fuel issue; but if you really want to replace something, start with the TPS.

Today, the problem seems to be gone. At idle, I am now able to rev up to red line, where I wasn't before. I also feel more power while driving.
Could it be that I had a bad mix of wvo? I have just topped up with very clear stuff but the last batch I put in had a little bit of a 'swirl' in it.
I think I will clear the error codes and see what comes up.

Problem has returned
I will contact a couple of local diesel injection specialists to see if they can help, otherwise it looks like a new or reconditioned pump.
I will report back with the results.
Incidentally, as far as the filtering to 1 micron will this work? Use a drill powered pump from my tub of 5 micron oil, through a water filter housing with a 1 micron wound filter cartridge, straight into the tank? The 5 micron filtered stuff has already been thinned with 5 - 10% unleaded and a squirt of Vegiboost, so should filter quite easily.

Have you blown back down the fuel lines?
Have you tried running it on 100% diesel for a couple of weeks?
Is the primer OK?
Have you changed the fuel filter again?
Have you checked the wee filter in the pump again?
What's your reasoning for thinking the pump is gubbed?Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

Have you blown back down the fuel lines?
No, but I will
Have you tried running it on 100% diesel for a couple of weeks?
No but I will top up today
Is the primer OK?
I assume it is. I haven't bypassed the filter. Do you think I should?
Have you changed the fuel filter again?
No but it is brand new. Should I?
Have you checked the wee filter in the pump again?
Only once but I will do again.
What's your reasoning for thinking the pump is gubbed?
Mostly from reading up on similar problems on this site and others. Seems to result in new pumps solving the problem.
I will get the lines blasted today and top up with diesel. I have a quarter full tank at the moment. When I get home, I'll check the little filter again and see what happens. So I just need to know how relevant you think the filter itself is in the equation?
Thanks for your valued input!

I can tell you what the problem is but as you call your truck a Smurf, I don't think you're mature enough to work on the engine.

Last night I filled up with about half a tank of diesel on the half a tank of my wvo/rug mix that was in there and I blew back down the fuel line with a high pressure bicycle pump.
This morning, I loosened the fuel cap and my drive to work was absolutely fine. I even put the ECT and O/D on to push the engine and no problems. People must have thought I was a boy racer
I will drive home tonight with the filler cap back on (can it be 'serviced'?) and see if there is any change. Other than that it will probably be the fuel, yes?
So I will get the wvo/rug mix filtered to 1 micron and use it 50/50 with diesel for a while and increase the ratio if there continues to be no problem.
Thanks to everyone for the help on this. I will report back with any findings.
