3.0L Exhaust query??

Hi

I have a 3.0L kZN130 Auto that needs new exhaust parts (mid section silencer and tail pipe). I know from RTX, I have a choice of genuine or non-genuine for the silencer but am a bit unsure as to what tail pipe to order. RTX list different tail pipes for auto and manual, but I have read on the forum that the tail pipe silencer is not essential, as people have modified their truck for a side exiting system, totally eliminating the rear tail pipe but still keeping the vehicle legal. I suppose basically what I need to know is - can I save a few quid and get the manual tail pipe (keeping it a rear exiting system), or do I HAVE to buy the proper Auto tailpipe??

Doesn't really make any difference from what I've heard the auto pipe is ment to make less noise. But I doubt you would notice, if your strapped for cash like me make your own, I'll be doing mine next week as I got my mot and I have a very holey exhaust

I have a front section and rear tail section available the front section was brand new and has been unfitted (still in packaging) as I changed my mind and opted for a V8 swap so surplus to requirement.

The rear / tail section I have was a new Roughtrax one and only spent three - five months on the truck before I pulled it all apart just havent got around to selling it yet.
