the rear window has decided its not going up which is all very well but not in the winter hey!!!! can any one help please???!!! the motor sounds like it is turning but just spinning out, could it be a drive cog on the motor??

that happen to me last year, checked the teeth of the motor, and they were hardly any teeth left (like my grand father)motor was working but not reaching the mechanism take the motor out and check if is that.

Fairly common. You might be able to salvage the motor once you're retrieved it. Otherwise you buy new but would be as well off getting one from a breaker or an old Corolla.

Whilst you wait to get a motor, you can stick a bit of wood in the tailgate to hold the glass up. You'll have to let the glass back down before you open it though.....Comment
