Leccie aerial removal

Hi, I am trying to remove the retractable aerial from my 2nd gen, I`ve gained access to the motor and removed the securing bolt and the unit is loose but how do I get it off the truck. I cant get the bit thats visible to outside world through the hole in the wing? HELP !! Please !!

There is a chrome nut securing it on the outside - The aerial goes up through the middle - undo that and the whole lot will drop through.
