  • air con drain question?

i have noticed the past week theres a fair bit of water coming from the air con drain through the pass side bulkhead, its making a saucer shaped damp patch underneath the drain when its parked up.
i started taking the dash/air con unit apart but it seems impossible to take apart unless you dump the gas and split the pipes, pull the dash back and take the box out complete,am i correct?
the coolant is down a little but the water coming out the drain is very clean.
im a bit unsure as to how much water should be coming out so can someone advise me please?

Apparently they all do this, Sir. I've not lost any sleep over it.

The ammount of moisture condensed and drained depends on many factors, don't worry about it.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

As Albannach says, the amount of water being knocked out depends on many factors and is a non issue. When air is cooled, its ability to hold moisture reduces and that moisture condenses and runs out of the drain. The volume will depend on , how humid the outside air is, how cold your a/c can make it. It will depend on whether or not you recycle cabin air or pull in outside air. It is just something that happens, and not something that needs fixed.

ok,thanks for the replys.i put everything back together.
its bittersweet that its not a problem as it was leaking onto the steering rack, first thoughts were that the rack is leaking but i seen it was dripping from the drain pipe,i took the gator off anyway to check and the rack is leaking also,so i have bought a 2nd hand good rack to be fitted next week.
its due its mot at the end of the month so i have bought some bits to un-modify it,lex-arse lights, twin 5" slash cut exhausts, marker lights, lexus badge on the front, the japanese lad who had it from me was stuck in the 90's i think.
bogus,my truck is the same colour as yours,is yours a ssr-g?
