  • Squecky fan -Aircon belt

    My 3L TD AC/Fan chain squeeks
    is in fairly good condition, the experienced guy added some grease saying it would do the trick..

    still has a noisy sqeek the fist few minutes then usually stops
    is it Air Conditioning Tensioner/Idler Bearing or other "unbalanced" spinning items;

    not sure, anyone had such issues??

        Do you know you've spelled 'Squeak(y)' 4 different ways?

        Have you tried adjusting the belts?

                Get the "experienced guy" to slap some grease on every belt, that should do the trick.

                        Have you tightened the belts or chains or whatever it is you have? 90% of the time that's what causes squeals. If the belts are tensioned correctly and in good condition, check they are not running on the bottom of the 'V' in the pulley, if they are, change them. Change the one that has been 'greased' it's now knackered.

                        What did Bushwhacker spell wrongly?

                          I have checked exhaustively and can only find three.

                          To be fair it may be three different ways of spelling the same word,the Innuit of Alaska have 200 hundred words for snow you know.

                          I may be mistaken but I thought this forum was meant to offer help and advice to anyone that needed it,

                          So come on you lot,get your fingers out and help him,hes from the northwest for goodness sake,as am I,Alan
