vehicle speed sensor fault code

have been having trouble with my surf stalling when coming to a stop and putting clutch in, driving the truck you can also feel its just not driving right.

after a particularly bad spell, i did a fault code check and came up with vehicle speed sensor fault.

the speedo works fine

is it the speed sensor in the gearbox that needs changing, or is there another speed sensor.

its a manual 3.0 ssrx surf

Speed sensor on the Injection Pump. Gearbox sensor is for speedo.

spoke to toyota and its the idle speed control sensor thats on the pump, £254+vat lol.

is this correct that the code coming up is vehicle speed sensor, are you sure its def the idle control sensor thats faulty.

does the code match the fault ?

could the speed sensor in the gearbox be faulty even though the speedo is working. does this sensor also send info to the ecu, or injection pump?

whats involved in changing the idle control sensor on the pump, is it literally plug in and play ?

can any1 point me in the direction of some1 breaking a manual 3.0 surf, new parts are silly money with no garentee of fixing the issue, so would like to find some used parts.
or a specialist hilux breaker with parts in stock

also is the idle speed sensor and speedo sensor the same on any other models as the 3 litre is rarer, and the manual even more so
