£25 is around 4 gallon at todays prices, 80mile therefore is about 20 to the gallon

so guess its depending on how you driving really..

I got a fair less than that at the weekend, but was off road

          A 3.0 3rd gen should get nearer 30mpg.

Any modifications i.e. chunky tyres, suspension/body lift, or anything else fitted to affect the standard 'aerodynamics'?

Well, it's either the price of fuel, the tyre pressures are too low or you ate too many mince pies over Xmas.

What size tyres you running before christmas ?
It won't effect it much but when i put me new AT2's on i found that my mileage reading had dropped
from 220 miles from full to 1/4, down to 200 miles from full down to 1/4.
yet i still went to work 5 days a week same journey every day.
New tyres have larger rolling circumference there fore less revolutions to go 100 miles than old worn tyres.
Less revolutions means less miles clocked yet same distance travelled.....

You say it costs £25 to do 80 miles now, when before it cost £20 to 100 miles.
So if you did 100 miles now it would cost £31.25, thats over a 3rd more ?????

New tyres seem to make a difference to the speedo readings. I've just put 31x10.5x15 AT2's on mine and clocked 1.4 miles back from our our local Tesco petrol station, whereas on the old worn 265x70x15 Yokohamas it showed 1.2 miles. Will set up the satnav next time I can get out for a decent journey and see how the speed and distance compares with the new boots on. Mighnt actually makle the speedo readings more accurate as it was reading 10% over at 71 mph (i.e. showing 77).

You need to start comparing liters bought to miles, not how many £'s you put in.

around here £25 is only 18 liters today, before xmas I was getting 20 liters for same price.

If you're guaging MPG on £'s put in truck, i'd guess thats a going to look like a big drop in MPG just cos of the price rise in fuel.

thats kind of where i was going with number of litres per fill

there's girl i know who isnt affected by the fuel prices cos every time she fills up she only puts £20 in

hasnt realised she isnt going as far on it tho
