Weird noise

Hope someone can shed some light on this, past few days I've noticed when I first start the car I get quite a loud noise from front end of engine I think its near the pulleys and it sounds like hitting a piece of aluminium with a ball bearing. I maybe hear it between 5 to 10 times in reasonably quick succession then disappears.

don't think its an injector as engine runs smooth, and sound is very metallicaly

Theres not a sliver of belt lashing about there, ready to go kaput. H

Don't think so done timing belt about 5k ago plus don't think that would sound metallic. Thanks for all your suggestions but by the sounds of it no one has come across this before

Is your auto or manual? If it is manual could be your dualmass flywheel about to go?

Solid flywheel was supposed to have been fitted week before I bought it plus the noise is definitely coming from front end of engine.

Harmonic balancer possibly breaking up check the front bottom pulley with the engine running don't put your hands near it it should run true if its not then the rubber between the inner and outer part has gone it hits the timing casing and wears through its worth alook
