Could somebody please instruct me on how to disconnect the EGR on my 3 litre 3rd generation I would be most gratefull cheers, Ian.

    Afternoon Ian

Don't bother disconnecting the EGR, if you are looking to do the mod just take off the black rubber pipe to the EGR, get a 7mm ball bearing (got mine from local cycle shop) and bung one in the pipe, push it down & re-connect the pipe.

Looks standard but you get the benefit - mine certainly made a difference

    hope this helps

yep, no problem, as I'm crap with a camera, here goes

on the top of teh egr is a ipe outlet that sticks out of teh egr on teh side. This pipe vanishes down the side of teh engine block.

Pull this off the egr (should come off quite easily, if not, give it a bit of a tug) stuff the 7mm ball bearing down the rubber pipe and shove it right down with a screwdriver, coathanger etc.
You have to shove it down far enough to be able to put the rubber pipe back on the egr, even thought it's now blocked it looks nice & neat

        10 mins & job done
