  • 15' rims on a 3rd gen

hey guys.. can you fit 15' rims on a 3rd gen? the reason I ask does the calipers on the front only let you run 16' rims?

    cheers Justin

one more for you guys... Im about to finish off a 4 inch lift.. I wanted to run 33's but obviously there for 15' rims.

Whats my options here.. get new rims and tyres? would the tyres be 305x70x16 to be equivilent to 33's? any idea where I can get a good package deal from?

        again guys, thanks in advance

        Cheers Justin

          275/85/15 = 33
          275/80/16 = 33

          give or take 2mm

285/75x16 work out to be 33x11.50's they will go on no probs but will catch the chassis on full lock, the reason i know this is I run them on my LC Colorado and its the same chassis. I am told that you can grind away the brake calipers a bit to get 15" wheels on but this sounds a bit dodgy to me!

if they are 15x10's I would be interested.

                Any pics and specs?

                  afternoon all

interesting about tyre size, on my 3rd gen (standard set up apart from 20% stiffer spring on rear) I run 285/75 R16 Greenaway Macho's and only get a very slight rubbing on the front edge, against the wheel arch flare and only on full lock.
No probs at all apart from that although I have noticed that she's not quite as nippy as before (used to run standard size before) but, hey, ho, it's not a ferrari
