  • ATF Cooler Pipes?

    Hi all,

Fitted an ATF cooler earlier today, keeping the use of the standard lower rad cooler. Just a quick question regarding how i piped it up. I did it after the rad so it goes in the cooler and then returns. I figured that it was at its coolest then before it goes back round the system. I have read an early post from Tony about piping it the other way round, ie. before the rad. Any thoughts here as its no problem to swap them round.

Off to Belgium again soon so i would rather be safe than sorry!

if you fit the cooler before the rad it will cool the atf down before it gets to the rad this will aid in keeping the engine cooling temp down because it wont have to work so hard to cool the atf and the engine coolant.
