Hi all,
I bought my Surf in November and have loved every minute. Its been really handy, especially as i live in the country and we had massive amounts of rain just before Xmas.
Anyway I have had to ford a few shallow flods/rivers, nothing above top of wheel height, probably half way up doors is the max. The problem I have is that after a couple of minutes of driving, especially if I rev the truck a bit higher, the timing belt light comes on. This is sometimes accompanied with the battery light. However, about a minute after i exit the water they both go off, once the cloud of steam from the water coming off the engine evaporates.
Once the light has gone off there are no other issues, it doesn't 'feel' any different, no extra smoke, anything. Just wondered if this is normal or whether it is something i should get looked into.
Apologies for the long winded thread
Many thanks for any replies.
