I own a 2nd gen and looking into getting a third gen.
I twin tank and was wondering if the 3rd gen has the same engine as the 2nd.
And if not is it still idi and still good for wvo.

To all intents and purposes the 1KZ/TE is the same in both, with minor changes to the fuel pump and emission junk on later 3rd gens.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Do you know if the pump is better suited for wvo?

Running my 96 3rd gen on svo with no problems(yet)
