Tow bar for a hilux with a lift kit

hi all

I have a 1994 3.0TD surf with a 4" lift sitting on 33x12.50x15LT tyres

I want to put a hitch on this for towing a trailer....

can anyone point me in the right direction for this?

I have rang a few places and they have talked about spacer plates dropping it down to the level of the trailer...

but I wondered if anyone had fitted one, or heard of a specific type

any help would be appreciated

Yeah, you need a drop plate, you may find you can only buy 4" ones, I made a 6" one for Lindas truck.

Custom making a towbar thats that low usually looks pants, a drop plate still looks a little rubbish but its better. And they will both drag in the mud when offroad.

I only bolt our drop plate on if we're towing, and leave it off the rest of the time.

With drop plate/ball on for towing.....


Swapped with a Pin and Ball that won't drag on the ground when offroad (normally leave this on as it looks neater)....
