Firstly, merry christmas everybody.
Well I have spoke to Stevo and I am going to take his advice and get the oil pressure tested to ensure the block is fine then in the new year I am going to buy a new head from him. After explaining how pressure testing of heads works I am almost certain that my current head is at fault. All being well the Surf should be up and running in the new year. My only concern is the wisp of gas out of the dipstick tube on idle which goes when you rev her, although Toyota say this is normal. Hopefully I will be able to take in one of the meets next year with a fully functioning Surf.
