bad starting 3.0 td ssrx ltd

I have problem my 1994 3.0 ltd auto starts for 1 or 2 seconds but will not idle can anyone help

as in fires up and dies,
turns over..........may need to be a bit more specific


if you mean it wont drive back or forward,firstly check the obvious.
dip the atf fluid,whilst its running and in park.
also check the transfer lever hasn't been knocked into neutral

Just what are you using for fuel ?

It's worth checking fuel and air pipes for leaks

Pull the fault codes first, might give you a clue.

after driving back from work some 37 kilometers i parked my pride and joy no problems came back out 1 hour later went to start her and all she now does is fires and dies, engine fault light on dash comes on
can anyone help

Remove the fuel filler cap and try again.

Not really, sounds like fuel starvation caused by a vacuum in the tank.

only thing is there,s a lot of white smoke and a strong smell of diesel so is it fuel starvation sorry if that sounds thick but im now drowning my sorrows in beer
