  • Mot & Insurance

    Hi All & Merry Christmas.

Well I don't know if I am blessed but the truck passed another MOT with no work needed.

I do have a question to ask!

Due to the above annual mileage I have had to get a run about to do the daily commute to work and back.
The Surf is relegated to the drive for the most of the time unless I need to re-attach my smile or tow the caravan.

    The question is

Are any other people out there doing well below the usual average annual mileage and do you get a good deal from your insurer?
Also if you believe that you are, which insurer is doing the best deal?

My best quote is £250 fully comp with Aplan.
Adrian Flux offered to beat it by a quid but why change for a quid!
Tesco was a non runner at over £500

So who is the best for under 3000 miles a year?

    Answers on a Christmas card

    Cheers

    Steve

i'm paying £250.00 fully comp from a-plan, thatcham, for my normal years premium for my surf and about the same for my soarer which has a bigger engine, so you don't seem to be getting much advantage by doing less milage.

I'm with Groupama (A-Plan) I have unlimited mileage (I do at least 20,000 a year) and I paid £255 including charges for paying monthly.
Look out Eastbourne, the Pandas are coming !

£234 fully comp, with roadsure limited to 5k but with occasional comuting allowed.
          Nissan Patrol for on-road, and a Land-Rover 110 shed for off-road :-)
