hi i've been trying to solve the shakeing fault on my surf,i've changed the prime pump,checked all hose's,removed pipe work around the throttle butterfly and cleaned butterfly,checked belt (not jumped),checked turbo hose's and after being told by diesel injection chap at garage about hose in tank i bypassed main tank by running hose's from a small tank straight to fuel pump and its still doing it..drops revs when you slow down at traffic or juctions if you take it out of gear when changing down the revs drop down to 300-400rpm and then rise slowly...
next is to replace fuel pump as it has done over 170.000klms.
i have been quoted £1300-£1800!!!!! for new or recon pump,but after lookng on fleabay i think i might be able to pick one up cheeper than that,
can someone tell me the part n/o for it of if there are any code n/os on it? it's a 3.0 1994 L reg 2nd gen manual.
