  • deisel pump leak

    Hi
    can anyone tell me what the valve is on the back of the pump, it has a rubber boot on it with a wire going in and a what looks like a drain hole, this hole is dripping fuel, i am running veggi oil nearly neat most of the time.

    I'm not sure quite what you're talking about, unless it's the fuel shut off soleniod, but it will probably be the seal that has gone, you may find if you run a couple of tanks of 100% derv thruogh it, with either a bottle of redex or 1 litre of ATF in it, it may help the seals to reseal.

    The permenant fix is to replace with new seals that are veggy compatable.

      Hi thanks for your quick reply
      Better discription, it is at the bottom of the pump near the back and the lead comes out facing towards the back of the engine, the lead is goes to a connector on the side of the pump, fuel is dripping out of this unit i can see it with the wheel of and the engine running, cant see anywhere else, the rest of the pump is dry
      Cheers

        If you have a EFI truck, its the spill control valve, if its a older Non-EFI truck, it'll be the fuel cut off solonoid.

          Is it anything like this;

          http://www.toyotasurf.asn.au/techsite/fuelpump.htm

          http://www.vepump.cn/ProductType.asp...e=CZ-D.DENSO(2)

          The 3rd one takes a little while to load.

          Check the pics and see if you can see the part that leaks.

              Timer Control Valve if it's the bit in the diagram.

                  Thats 1 expensive part from toyota so i read online. dilute the veg to a 70/30 derv/svo mix and seal that leak , maybe a cheaper option.
