  • Temp Gauge rises when towing

When towing the horse box with pony in, the temp gauge will rise from half way to three quarters when towing up a hill (We have some big hills in this part of Dorset). When back on the straight, gauge returns to half way.

Is this normal, or do I have to fit an ATF cooler.

    TIA

Quite normal a transmmission oil cooler will help prelong the life of the transmission oil but thetemp gauge will still rise on long hills.
