  • Fuel pump leak

Looks like the veg oil has killed my old seals.

Looks like its the top seal(s).

Whats involved in changing them? Is fuel gonna pee out when I remove the bits to get at the seals? What size are the O-rings I need? Commonly available?

These and many many more questions...

    Cheers!

i think the top O rings are the ones you can get from B&Q or Halfords in a bag of mixed sizes Andy only about £3

Is there anything I need to be aware of when I start? Looks like I can get reasonable access with the air filter and associated hoses removed.

Is there a link to pics of the pump on here anywhere? Did a quick search but nowt obvious.

changed my top (funny shape) seal and it didnt help so i just put some diesel back in. 3 tanks in a row of 90% veg it what started mine to go.

I ran 100% by accident last week, after around 50% for ages. The 100% was the final straw I think.

So, can anyone say for sure whether the top seals on the 3.0 pump are 'a funny shape' or not too? I think it is the top seal as it is soaking wet around that bit!

Having said that though, it looks like you need to take the top cover off to get at the O-ring, and that will probably bu66er whats left of the funny shaped one... Oh bu66er!!

Oh well... better get on to Milners and set another day aside!

Anyone done both seals? How long did it take? Just wondering if it's gonna be doable on a workday evening before it gets dark...
