  • Engine designation confusion

I am trying to get some information on the KZN130 engine from Wix Europe, but I am getting confused. The site lists the 1KZ-T as the 05/93-05/96 engine in the Hilux and the 1KZ-TE as the 04/96 engine. Can anyone confirm this? I have always heard to them all referred to at the TE. I am trying to find the air filter and fuel filter part numbers.

Non-EFI motors are 1KZ/T and was fitted in the UK/Euro 2nd gen 4Runners in the dates you said, All 3.0 Hilux Surfs had the 1KZ/TE EFI motor for the same time period.

When the UK/Euro 4Runner was junked for the LandCruiser Colorado in 96, they switched to the 1KZ/TE.

Air filter and oil filters for any 3.0 diesel 2nd Gen Surf/4Runner are the same. (oddball desert fitted filters aside)
