Not a bad looking truck,its seems to look in really good order from the pics
check for service history,has it been used off road and how hard has it been used off road,basically whatever you would ask about any motor.Make sure everything is in working order e.g 4wd,all the windows heaters air co etc

price is on high side plus you must check truck out thoroughly ie 4wheel drive ~+overheating etc

Yes, price is high, but any dealer will come down on it, that's not what worries me; also I really am after a trade deal that takes p/x. I'm aware I need to check it out properly, the trouble is I never have looked at such a vehicle before.

Yeah, would be nice don't know who. Also found this black one http://dealerservices.autotrader.co..../stocklist.htm (it's a list, can't copy the link to the actual ad) - it's the M reg metallic black, but doesn't say the mileage. Love the colour!

that looks a really nice truck.It may pay to put a thread up in the general section for anyone who can view trucks with you

Yeah, could use it... I just don't feel right about asking somebody to give up their time to come with me God knows where. I just wish I could fined a Hilux around Midlands.

Many thanks, appreciate your help... looks like I'll have to wait for one closer than the ones I mentioned here, perhaps no further than 60miles away. Will keep you posted and, if you don't mind, I'll draw your attention to whatever motor I might find, before going to see it.
