Help - Fuel Gauge ??

Help, fuel gauge went from 1/2 full to 1/4 full in the space of about ten miles - no visible leaks, had no problems with it before. The engine check light flickered on and off for a millisecond, any ideas as i don't want to go too far just in case it's serious

Sounds like one of the four battery terminals is loose. Try putting a short screw down the side of each batt terminal, between terminal and clamp to hold em on tightly. I got light flicker cos of that. You should get 70 km out of that part of guage
