  • ECT POWER Switch.. ( yeah again!)

ok, i know what the ect power switch is for but mine doesn't seem to work,
it revs to just over 4,000 rpm on or off but the dash light works when it's activated... no difference in kickdown either.... is there a problem or are they all like this?

    (it's a 3.0 TD)
nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!

with our truck, normal driving around 1/4-1/2 throttle, will change to overdrive at 60 km/h in normal mode, or 82 km/h in power mode. if you sit at 70 km/h and push the mode button ours will change in and out of overdrive. with your foot flat down it will rev to the redline no matter which mode you are in (kick down position).
