Can anyone say how many greasing points there are on the 3rd gen as the book is not very helpful i see two on the rear drive prop are there any more.

Oh yes....
The top and bottom ball joints of the front suspension have blanking lugs that need clearing of dirt and then unscrewing and a grease nipple inserting....don't force in too much grease as you'll blow the rubber boots off the joints. Access is a little tight but it can be done with the wheels on.
The prop-shaft is covered in nipples (well the at least 6? going from memory) the carden joint is a little difficult to get if you aren't using a ramp.
Grease the steering lock stops whilst your dirty. There are four, thats two each side of the lower wishbone and the steering arm (Pitman) touches the box on full lock so grease that contact area too.
I'm fairly certain someone has covered the chassis lube side of things with pictures earlier on in the forum, try a search. -
The 3rd gen doesn't have greasable ball joints, and the steering stops are different design as well cos its a rack, not a steering box. All he needs to do is the Propshafts.
The rear prop has 1 on the rear U-joint, 3 on the double cardan joint at the front (one on each UJ part, and one from the end that goes to the middle of the joint.)
The front prop just has a normal UJ each end.
