  • ball bearing to improve BHP/ reduce smoke?

Hi, I've seen a few people on ebay selling what they describe as a ball bearing that they claim will reduce emissions, reduce fuel consuption and claim to improve BHP, has anyone had any experience of this idea or is it all just a load of nonesence? would it make much difference to a 97 3.0TD SSR-X with 65,000 mls? thanks

All you do with the ball bearing is block a tube. Cheaper to just fold the tube and cable tie it.

Only difference I noticed is less smoke / better emission figures and a tiny fraction better low down pickup. No sign of BHP / economy gains.
