Greetings all,

just got the above TD Manual - wondered if anyone could recommend best oil for this engine. Also gotta feeling the rear window motor is gonna grind to a crunching halt well before the 'good' weather returns - any suggestions as to delaying the inevitable. I'm guessing these cost some to repair and I don't have labour time for the foreseeable.

10 or 15w40 semi synthetic
it will take about 30mins to a hour to change the motor for the rear window.try to get one from a toyota corolla or celica passenger side or if you can do without the rear passenger door window for a while then use the motor from that

If hit helps ref the rear window mate, I've got a KZN130, 1995 and the motor is fine. Turns out to be rusting on the running strips on the bottom of the glass pane causing the problem. Can't think of any "preventative" measures, but might be worth checking before you fork out for a new motor. Enjoy.
