i've had my surf ages now (and it's got 76,000 miles on it) and the clutch has never been changed ---- hang on, it's an auto, does that make a difference??

Wish I had some string, I've got 2 empty baked bean tins and a good idea for a cheap set of walkie-talkies

I'm going to forgo the lesson on statistics and just ask if anyone has had their clutch changed during the ownership of their 3.0?

                    Ta, Paul.

Good idea, but I would add to that question as below!

Has anyone has had their clutch changed during the ownership of their 3.0? "if so, what was the recorded mileage when the clutch went"

I used to have a surf me!

                          Mine went after 142k

My dual mass flywheel went after 142k kilometres. Not sure what state the clutch was in though, prior to this no slipping at all. Went for one of those complete flywheel clutch replacement kits and the gents that did the work for me said it went on a treat.

Got to wait and see how long this 'normal; clutch lasts now

You'll find the dual mass flywheel is more problematic than the clutches, I've changed a few of them and found the clutch disc is OK, but you need a different clutch kit so you get a new clutch as well.

But who knows if the clutch has been done before.
