  • Clutch lifetime

    Hi there,

How long do the clutches generally last for on these cars? I know it depends how you use them, but whats the ballpark?

    Cheers, Paul.

Their aint one m8. As you say, its all down to use. A proper driver will make a clutch last forever. As you have no idea who has been driving the car for most of its life on the other side of the world you can not predict with any degree of accuracy when the clutch will fail, if at all.

    Al.

Just read your post again, its a 4 runner....so forget the other side of the world bit but otherwise all else applies unless you got it from new.
I used to have a surf me!

Why not just buy a new clutch and keep it on the shelf in the garage until you need it?

There is no round abouts figure. It goes when it goes.
