  • Torsion Bar Bolts

    Hi all

Can anybody tell me what will happen if I undo the adjsting bolts on the torsion bars?

I bought a new pair of bolt as a just in case when I last got some bits from Roughtrax and I now need to adjust the ride height.

can I replace the bolts without too many bits dropping on my head or will it be easy?

    Fingers crossed

As far as i know its fairly straight forward just make sure you jack the truck up on the chassis to take the weight off the wheels
If it aint broke dont fix it

i put new bolts on last year
bit of a pig of job on my 4runner as 10 yrs salt!
it had to soak in wd40 for couple days
then put spanner on top nut - long 22or24mm one and strap it to chassis
then use socket and long breaker bar to undo bolt - which took a lot of effort

      front wheels jacked off ground

new bolts went in so easy with coat of anti-seize grease!
