washer turbo mod.. can it be done on a 3l??

thats pretty much my Question in a nutshell. been playing with the search to no avail.. and stuck my head down there and its not as easy access as a 2.4, but its a night shift tonight and im willing to sacrifice some company time to make my truck go a bit quicker

Yep, it's the same as doing it to the 2.4 only you'll get a stiff neck trying!

As the Surfs are over ten years old, the use of washers the 'pack out' the wastegate actuator is really just taking up the slack in the weakend spring and return the boost level back to standard, as long as you don't go sticking inch thick washers in there!



p.s. I thought you 3 litre boys were spoilt with power anyway.
