i have a 1996 3.0 auto surf...when i go out to work all is ok untill i come to a stop..when i put my foot down to go there is nothing for a few seconds ..but after a short while it jolts itself into gear and off we go...i also know another surf owner and his just wont go at all....HELPPPPPPPP please

Hi, sorry to have to tell u this, but ive just had to fork out £1200 pounds on reconditioning my box, all the clutches were shot, it's exactly wat happened to us, loss of power, engine just revs freely when stationary at the lights or in traffic, and would refuse to change up for a while. Toyota were useless, find a autobox specialist there ur best bet,

Thanx all..i found a website that u type in what you want and i got about 15 calls from folks that had got a gearbox for sale.....quoted £250 to £350 + vat for second hand delivered...
