  • Steering idler and more

I am about to change the steering idler - Milners £57 + vat seems like a decent price. Anything to be aware of when changing it?

Another thing, when I look at the surf from the front, one of the front wheels appears to be not quite vertical. It's not a lot, probably only around 10mm further out at the bottom of the wheel. What's bent then? Maybe it's something I can look for when I'm underneath doing the idler. Advice would be welcome.

It's called Negative camber. It's not a bad thing, helps keep the full width of the tyre in contact with the road when cornering.

          Grease fitting.

Perhaps you should take it apart and put a grease fitting on it.

If I remembr rightly, I fitted a Milners idler and it has a grease nipple fitted. Is that not right?

The job itself is straightforward. I think you need a new split pin for the nut on the track rod joint.
