  • Air filter sensor

I've just replaced the hose that runs from the air filter canister lid (thanks to Mr Bushwacker for suggesting a cheaper supplier than Toyota - £58+Vat for a bit of rubber hose...flippin cheek..).

Anyways, I noticed a hole in the canister lid and a quick search on here told me that some sort of air temp sensor gizmo should fit in the hole.

I've had a look and can't find it anywhere.

Does anybody know where it connects to, or what hole in the chassis the wire disapers into. If I can't find it I can just seal up the hole.... but I'm guessing that Toyota fitted it for a reason, so who am I to argue..

    Thanks,
    Joe

Do you know where the end of the cable goes?
I crawled all over the that side yesterday and couldn't see anything dangling loose. So all I can think of is that at some point, some machanic pushed it into a hole because he didn't know what it was for.

I thought if I could find where the cable came from, it might give me a place to start looking.

      Thanks,
      Joe

Nope, still can't find it. My engine seems quite different from yours.
I've looked all over the place and I can't see anything dangling.

          I give up.

I'm just going to stick a bung in the hole.
It's been running (I think) perfectly well without it so who am I to complain.
