  • Droopy Ass...

My new Surf - a 95 SSRX 3.0 I imported from Japan, when standing unladen on level ground, looks like it's got a pallet of bricks in the back. Is there any thing I can do to make it sit level?

The only way to get the back end up is to replace the springs.
£40 +vat per pair from Milners.

Sounds simple enough... Thanks, I'll look into that. Would I need standard or uprated springs?

If you do a bit of towing, then get the uprated ones. Otherwise standard springs will be fine.
Milners only seem to sell the uprated ones though.

Thanks to both Bushwacker & Stormforce for the info. I'll check out Milners today. Wish I'd found this site months ago... Got more Surf info in last 4 hours than last months. Cheers Lads

I take it these are a differant spec spring to the ones advertised on Roughtrax for £78.00+ (Part SU005)...? Or are Milners just cheaper?

Not too sure, but I've got the Roughtrax springs. Sit the truck up nicely, with about a 1 1/2 to 2 inch lift. Stiffer springs, and a lift too! Bargain!
                It just does, OK?

I got the Milners 20% stronger springs, which made the hard/soft suspension switch redundant. They make the truck handle more like a European vehicle, whereas the standard springs make it feel like an American truck - wallowy in the corners.
                  It's only a hobby!

So, am I right to assume both will give me a firmer ride.....
But the springs from Milners will bring the ass up level,
& the springs from Roughtrax will raise it an extra 2" above that...?

                        Right, thanks....
I better get outside with a tape measure...
I'm only 5'7" this could be crucial to my back....

ive got the milner springs on my truck it now sits totally level with the front, i was able to keep the hard soft button on suspension.

all i'd say to you mate is buy'em they made a hell of a difference to the way my car looks and handles alot better, i can put my trlailer on the back with 2 fat bikes on it and the suspension hardlys dives. get em bought £40 bargain.

I don't seem to have a suspension button on my Surf. Are they standard, or is it a factory option?

                            regards
