    ********thanks guys al be havin a look i hope its stuck to the blower as i know where this is.i have no idea what it looks like but it sounds like it may get very hot so if it burns me i know av found it golly gone***** this forum is fun am sort o getting the hang of it look i even found a gollywog (my nick name from the age of 5. golly gone

    i think its not related to the switch but the resistor pack that the switch is linked too. this is normally located beside or on the fan housing . it's probably cutting out due to thermal shutdown.
    only way to resolve,, new resistor pack,, thats only my opinion of course

        With you on this one guys, had a simular problem with my old Volvo.

        If you spray something cold on to the resistor pack (can't remember where it is I'm afraid) the fan should start up straight away. you can get specialest ('cuse the spellin) Freezer sprays for this sort of work, just check out any good electronic shop (eg RS spares / Maplins)
