rear window

hi all
can anybody help me i have a 1995 3.0L td surf. my rear window will go up and down useing interier switch but will only go up useing key on back. i have been told there is a relay located some were behind panels but don't now were could it be the problem.
all advice greatly apreaciated

The relay is in the rear window ECU, its behind the rear load area panel on the passenger side.

The relays often burn out, you can pull the ECU apart and replace the relay, or just get a used ECU (new ones are about £230)

But check the key switch in the tailgate first.

Its the same relays that are used whether you operate the window from inside or from the tailgate, so if it works with one it indicates the relay is OK more likely the fault is with the switch on the tail gate
