Steering problems

I have had the drivers side CV boot changed and since then my 4runner has had steering problems. The mechanic who has done the job cannot explain what has happened.

When I hit the brakes the car pulls to the left, the wheel seems to have moved back slightly and the drivers side tracking rod is rubbing against the car body.

Sounds like your mechanic put something back incorrectly! Try checking that the wheels line up front to back and that the tracking is correct as well. That should show up if he f$%&@d up the repair.
