Thanks for the tyre info I will get mine there next time, still no joy with the Flashing O/D lights.

Been to Toyota and they now say sorry cannot look at the 4WD system, as it is an import but it is probably electrical, but they didn’t mind fixing the panels when they needed replacing....

Can anyone confirm is the picture that I have taken is the Solenoid..

and I have attached a picture of our surf....

O/D lights? Hopefully you mean the 4x4 indicator lights!

I don't know the 4x4 system particularly well but...

...AFAIK, there's two things that happen when you press the 4x4 button
        1) Something in the transfer case goes clunk and start to provide drive to the front propshalf.
        2) Something in the front diff/ADD system goes clunk and engages drive from the diff to the front wheels.

Fairly sure the ADD bit is vacuum controlled and the transfer case is electrical.
So, if you've checked the electrical connectors around the transfer case, have a look for vacuum pipe(s) around the front diff (you may have to remove the skid plates to gain access (2 skid plates but can be taken off as one, 7 bolts, 9 if you separate them I think).
Also, in the engine bay, left side of car (passenger's), on inner wheel arch, sort of below the air filter, there's some odd looking valves with pipes coming off them. These are Vacuum Switching Valves (VSVs). If I remember rightly, these or some of them control the 4x4/ADD. Make sure none of the pipes are split, missing or disconnected. Think they also have a few electrical connections to them.

Somebody please correct me if any of my info is wrong!

        Hope that helps,
        Rob
