Forgive my ignorance but can someone be kind enough to inform me as to why there are 2 batteries on my Surf?

Nope, mines got 2. I think its the nips, they love having extra bits, my old Paj had 2 batts as well. Never did get to the bottom of why, it worked with only one on, but if it was only the other one it didn't, if you see whay I mean. I put it all down to clever jap electrickery.Parts of your engine go up, stop then go back! Mm!

Cant be, my paj had 2x85 amp/hr batts (same as surf) yet when I outed it to the write off man it started up no probs with the weedy little 45 a/h one I put on after removing my 2 new ones. Glow plugs are only on for seconds and my surf & the Paj before always start first hit of the button. Most big plant only has one batt.Parts of your engine go up, stop then go back! Mm!
