  • Cam Belt Question

Having just bought my Surf I wasn't sure when the cam belt had last been changed so I have had it replaced to be on the safe side.

The cam belt warning light was not on at the tim eof the change and, as such, I want to ask if I can reset the light by pushing the button on the facia? Will this reset the cam belt warning light even though it was not on at the time or won't it make any difference and still come on when it thinks the cam belt is due for a change?

well i took your advice and reset it and low and behold it came on with the ignition and stayed on so I reset it again and it seems to have done the job as it stays off now. Just got to wait and see if it comes on again in 100k.
