4x4 dashboard light

Hi all

Just had s/h gearbox fitted now cant get 4x4 warning light to go out, if you push the on/off button it goes out for a few seconds the starts it flashing again, also I'm sure it came on and stayed on before and it comes up with the orange diff plus all four green wheels It seems drive ok but has no tax/MOT so cant take it anywhere to give it a good test....cant tell if it stuck in 4WD or not

i'm guessing this is while stationary?

if you roll forward or backwards a few feet it should engage / disengage

just needs to get everything lined up in the transfer case and diff first.
