Waxoyl and other bits o jobs
Wrote a post a few weeks ago about hot transmisson etc,so the other day took the surf to my mates brothers garage where he did a few jobs.
1.Drained transmission fluid, flushed system and replaced with new.
2.Drained cooling system flushed out,replaced with new coolant/Water mix(40/60)
3.Stripped down both front hubs to take play out of wheel bearings.
4.Take up rear brake shoes and sort out handbrake(I never use it so was a bit sticky)
5.Removed all blanking caps,replace with grease nipples and grease all ball joints and shafts
6.Steamcleaned underneath and then waxoiled everything.Was the hottest day of the year so far,so conditions were ideal.
The total price for all this work was £95.40.Absolute bargin.Not even worth me getting dirty.Taxed it yesterday and that cost me £93.Just goes to show how expensive road tax is getting, when i got all that work done for 2 quid more.(I supplied the waxoil)
