Heater control has thrown it's hand in

My 3rd Gen heater control only works at the extremes, ie. Warm air only comes through when the lever is right over at the top of the red and only a slight movement towards the cold end shuts the heat off.

Can anyone shed any light?? I thought about blocked matrix, but the hot air still comes out.

Check the heater control valve on the firewall.The cable may be loose or slipped a bit and not opening the valve fully.

Fixed it !

The cable had sprung off the diverter valve.
