  • 3.0L Td Manual SSR-X Horn

    Hi all,
I recently replaced what I thought was the horn (behind the bumper on the near side) on the old girl as I was fed up with the pathetic squeek it gave out (not very macho).

This morning I was underneath and found what looks like a second one on the drivers side.

The first one was a straight forward circular one, sort of like a speaker, but this new one is similar to the new one I fitted in that it has a "trumpet" bit. I doesnt appear to work but is wired up as far as I can see.

Can anyone tell me which was the original.

the flat speaker looking one should be the original. Usually have two, i high and low tone - my low one broke and it sounded like noddys car!
Got my air horns on the surf and although they are high pitche they are loud!

That looks, and sounds, like what's happened here.

The one I fitted sounds a lot better.

      Thanks for the info Dirtydog.
