Grinding Noise / Sensation

i have a SSR X Limited 1994 KZN130 Surf. The problem is that when I pull up at a junction and pull off in a sharp right hand turn, i get a grinding sound/sensation from what appears to be the rear of the vehicle.

Anyone have any ideas of what might be the cause

You've not got it in 4WD have you and getting wind-up on the diff ?

Does it happen if you do the same without he right lock on?
If not, then perhaps the bump stops need greasing...

Nope the 4x4 definately in the "off" position. It only happens seemingly at low speed with the steering in full right lock. very odd. The bump stops look well greased.

have you solved the problem ive got the same thing

It's not the bump stops that need grease it's the steering stops.

Sometime mine gets a very "juddery clutch" when pulling out, I've decided its a Toyota thing cos the Rav4 does the same sometimes.

Could it be the exhaust rubbing on something?

Possibly a loose nut on the lower tie-bar/rod..I had a slight noise after having the coils changed..found that the nut was moving slight under tension...tightened up and voila! no more squeaks etc.


Possibly Bearings ????? just guessing on this one
