  • Corroded Wheels

I know the 3.0L's are tail happy but when you combine that with a diff lock and runway enduro tyres ( I'm sure their made of 90% plastic ) you can't go anywhere when the roads are even slightly damp.
I have a spare set of wheels that I can put on with proper tyres fitted, but, the original alloys are corroded to the hubs. I've tried hitting them from behind with a bloody big mallet but they still won't come off, even after a couple of days of spraying with WD40.
i was wondering if I could use a very large puller to take them off?
would it work or might it break an alloy wheel?
any help / suggestions greatly appreciated

        Thanks guys,
couldnt hit them any harder, they just don't want to come off.
I'll try a puller. Replacing them with steel ones instead of alloy
        thanks again

Alternative is to loosen the nuts a bit and go back and fore a wee bit while steering right and left.

Yeah, spent a couple hours with two of us hitting either side without success. Tried moving it back and forth with the wheel nuts loosened, even tried the same but bouncing over a kerb, still no movement. Have now ordered a puller to try.
